To assist the APAEC 2016-2025’s goals, the ASEAN-German Energy Programme (AGEP), a jointly implemented project by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), conducted a study titled Research and Development (R&D) on Renewable Energy in ASEAN. This study maps the progress of existing RE R&D activities in ASEAN, which covers policies, stakeholders, and notable RE R&D activities, particularly in bioenergy, solar, wind, geothermal, and hydropower technologies.
