Under the ASEAN-German Energy Programme for ASEAN (AGEP)–a jointly implemented project by ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)–ACE published the Recommendation Report: Technical Requirements for Renewable Energy Generation Connected to the Distribution Grids in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. 

This report reviews technical requirement for renewable energy generation connected to the distribution grids in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The analyses captures the important aspect of grid parameters and provides an overview with recommendations to ensure the variable characteristics of renewable energy power plants do not adversely affect the grid stability and power quality. The report could assist stakeholders to develop renewable energy power plant and integrate the power to the grid.
