As the transport sector is responsible for the largest share of final consumption in Brunei Darussalam, the government is working to establish energy efficiency policies in this sector. One of the efforts is by establishing fuel economy regulations which will be phased in beginning in 2023. The country also currently is running a pilot project to reach 10% electric vehicles by 2035.
