To curb deforestation, the Government of Myanmar collaborates with development agencies to promote improved cooking stoves (ICS). They have been distributing the ICS from 2016 to 2031 to reach their 260,000 ICS target. The country also shows notable potential for expanding the use of electricity for cooking alongside electrification efforts.
