Collection of personal data when using our website

Every time a user accesses AGEP website and every time a file is accessed, information about the activity is processed and stored in a temporary log file. Before it is stored, each data set is rendered anonymous by altering the IP address.

In the case of merely informative use of the website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to visit our website, we only collect the data that is technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 f GDPR).

The following information is stored for each page you view and each file you download:

Use of cookies
When single pages are called up, so-called temporary cookies are used to facilitate navigation. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of the site visitor’s internet browser. These session cookies contain no personal data and expire after the end of the session or after the end of a user survey, which is usually conducted every two years. Techniques, such as Java applets or Active X controls, which make it possible to understand the access behaviour of users, are not used.

Newsletter

Any personal details collected as part of the newsletter subscription will only be used for the purpose of processing the subscription and dealing with your enquiries. The only mandatory information for sending you the newsletter is your email address. Any personal information that we collect apart from your address, especially the job function and medium that you work for, is optional and helps us pinpoint and deliver topics relevant for your target audience. To register for our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that, after you have registered, we will send you an email, to the email address stated by you, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. After your confirmation, we will store your email address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR.

In addition, we store the IP addresses you use and times of the registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to prove your registration and, if necessary, to inform you about possible misuse of your personal data. You can revoke the consent you have given about receiving the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe the newsletter. The revocation can be realised by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter email or by sending an email to [email protected].

We point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent include so-called web beacons or tracking pixels that represent one-pixel image files stored on our website. For the analysis, we link the above-mentioned data and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID. The data is always anonymised when collected so the IDs are not linked to your personal data, and thus a direct personal reference is excluded. You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each email or informing us by writing to [email protected]  The information will be stored as long as you subscribe to the newsletter. After logging out, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously.

Your details will not be passed on to third parties. No use will be made of your details for consulting purposes, for advertising or for market research. If you cancel your subscription, all your personal details will be deleted from our database. Postal addresses and email addresses that you provide when you make an enquiry or order information materials are used exclusively for correspondence or delivery purposes. When you use other web-based services that require the submission of more extensive personal data, such as registration for training courses, the data protection declarations adapted to those services will also apply.

Contact form
When using the contact form, the surname, first name and e-mail address are processed. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para 1 b) EU GDPR for the purpose of receiving the contact form’s request. Data are not passed on to third parties. The passing on to AGEP takes place by means of a connection encrypted with SSL, which makes an unauthorised notice much more difficult. Inquiries made via the contact form will be deleted after completion.

Use of Google Maps
On this website we use the feature of Google Maps. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website, allowing you to use the map feature.

By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data collected when visiting our website are transmitted. This is done regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to, or if there is no user account. When you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or tailor-made website design. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for non-logged-in users) to provide appropriate advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object the formation of a user profile, whereby it should be stated that you must address Google directly.

Data protection rights
You have the rights to ask for information on your personal data and its processing, to have such data rectified if necessary, or to demand the restriction of the processing or the deletion of the data. The data will be deleted accordingly.

If you have any questions or complaints about this website, you can contact the data protection officer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority. The responsible authority is the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).
